4v4 Trap & Recover Drill for selective trapping. Aggressively trapping, or "going green" on baseline drives and post ups. Also detailed in Frame 3, the "Near Man Rule" for rotating out of the trap and returning the defense to neutral.
More from Radius Athletics:
BASE TRAP "Going Green"
1 passes to 3. If/when 3 drives to the basket, X1 assumes a pass denial position on 1 creating box pressure.
On the drive, X2 drops to Low I helpside position against 4.
X4 on 3's first dribble "goes green" and traps 3 with X3
POST TRAP "BASE GO"
If/when 1 dribbles the ball to wing. 3 cuts into a post up. 1 enters to 3 in the post and X4 goes green and traps with X3.
X2 drops to Low I helpside position against 4.
X1 denies the return pass to 1
Pass Out of Trap
Players close out and rotate according to "Near Man" rule on the pass out of the trap.
