About This Play/Drill

Coaches - are you in need of a 3 against a zone defense? Add this set to your playbook!

Our head coach at New Washington has used this play for 12 years with tremendous success.

We primarly use this against 2-3 and 3-2 zones. This action creates a quick overload putting pressure on the defense to cover multiple areas.

There is also a slip option if the defense is able to close on the shooter quicky

1 passes to 2

4 flashes to the high post

we like 1 to then get high for an easy reversal
2 reverses the ball back to 1
1 takes it away from his catch

4 fills the wing for a catch

2 slides to the corner

5 screens in on the wing defender

4 passes to 2 for a shot
SLIP OPTION

We also get the 5 on a slip quite a bit out of this action when the bottom wing defender gets through the screen
