A #FindUseCreate teaching drill for reading the closeout
On the skip pass, the reciever reads ONE COUNT shot on the catch if there is space. If the closeout is long, read TWO COUNT drive.

COACH makes skip pass to Player 1
Player 1 reads:
- One Count Shot
- Two Count Drive
X1 cannot leave the midline until the COACH passe the ball
COACH makes skip pass to Player 1
Player 1 reads:
- One Count Shot
- Two Count Drive
Short/Late Closeout = shot
COACH makes skip pass to Player 1
Player 1 reads:
- One Count Shot
- Two Count Drive
Long Closeout = drive
COACH makes skip pass to Player 1
Player 1 reads:
- One Count Shot
- Two Count Drive
COACH may change the speed of his/her pass to 1. Throwing a fastball means X1 will be late. Throwing a high looping pass mean the closeout will arrive with ball.
Short/Late Closeout = shot
Long Closeout = drive
Read the position of he the defender and drive with a crossover step using the foot furthest from the defender
Loading the Drill - 2v2 skip option
2 makes skip pass to 1. On flight of the pass X1 closes out, X2 sprints to help
Player 1 reads:
- One Count Shot
- Two Count Drive
Play 2v2 Live with FUC rules on the catch

2 starts with ball, X2 has back to offensive player and is facing the rim.
2 may either:
Throw the skip to 1
Drive middle
Drive baseline
2v2 live as soon as 2 initiates with either the drive or the skip
