Problem With Single Gaps
On a stationary pass to a static player, the defender is closer to the ball than the receiver. Makes it difficult to complete pass and vulnerable to the steal.
Problem With Single Gaps
On penetration into the single gap the defender (X3) is quick to help and quick to recover on the pass out. No advantage is gained.
Problem With Single Gaps
The backdoor pass may be available, BUT if help arrives the only option available is a pass back out to perimeter. There is no open pass to the rim.
Problem With Single Gaps
With sagging defense, no backdoor cuts are available
