About This Play/Drill

Today's Play of the Day is a 1-4 High Set that gives you several options to feed a dominant post player, with great action away from the ball to keep help defenders occupied. A must for every coach's FastDraw playbook!

  • Basketball Play - Play of the Day 02-07-2012: 25 Loop

  • Frame 1: 1 dribbles to wing as 2 loops tight to top. 3 cuts baseline to ball side corner, and 4 sets up screen in high post.
     

  • Frame 2: 1's first option is a post entry to 5 or a quick pass to 2 for a post feed. If 5 isn't open, 4 sets a flare screen for 2.
     

  • Frame 3: 1 swings ball through the 4 or on a skip pass to 2 after the flare screen. 1 and 4 set a staggered double screen for 3 as 5 cuts to opposite block.
     

  • Frame 4: 2 can hit 5 in the post, 3 curling off the double, or drive baseline, pushing 5 up the lane. 4 delays, then sets a screen for 1 on the backside. 1 reads the screen and then cuts based on the ballside action.
