About This Play/Drill

This play is an excellent action to run versus a team that is very aggressive guarding pick & rolls. Not only do you force X1 to fight and catch up to the ball handler with the baseline stagger, but screening 5 into the side pick & roll will force X5 to be late as well. With 4 rolling to the rim this takes away your quick stunt help from the top of they key.

  • Basketball Play - 1 Baseline Hook

  • 1 passed to 2 and cut to the strong side wing. 2 then passed to 4.

  • 5 and 3 set a baseline stagger for 1. 4 passed to 1.

  • 3 then screened 5 into a side pick & roll. 1 turned it down as 5 changed his angle and found a wide open 2 across the court for a shot.
