This play comes from the game between the Maryland Terrapins and the Kentucky Wildcats. This was a set Maryland used early in the game looking to free Dez Wells at the top of the key for a jumper. Easy to set-up and run, a great set for either a post-up 4 man or a strong shooting 3.
1 passes to the 4 man on the wing and makes a strong side cut
2 sets a pin down screen for 3 who uses the screen to curl to the ballside block
5 lifts to the three point line for ball reversal
4 reverses the ball to 5 who throws it to 2
As 4 releases the ball - 3 steps up and sets a back screen on his defender for the baseline cut to the ballside block
5 screens-the-screener as 3 comes off looking for a catch & shoot three pointer at the top of the key
