I saw this segment last week on ESPNU. NC State shows a great set that they run to get many different looks for different players. This set is all about timing and reading what the defense does. You might be able to get the post open on just the naked cut across the paint, of the 2 coming off the lob, the point guard coming off the ball screen, or a possible kick out from the point, the post on the cross screen, the shooter coming off the single down screen or even the 4 slipping to the basket because the defender hedged out to the shooter. This set properly ran, can be very difficult to run and might be a nice little secondary break set to throw in the second half of a game. Enjoy

Point Guard enters to the wing (preferrably the best shooter). Follows his pass. The Best back to basket post player should be opposite and cuts to the ball side block to post up.

The point guard follows his pass. The wing with the ball dribble hand offs with the point guard. After the hand off, the 4 player sets a back screen for a lob attempt.

If the lob is not there, the point guard will come off an on ball screen from the 4. While the ball screen is occuring, the shooter then sets a cross screen for the post on the block. The different options out of the ball screen are shown.

If the shooters defender helps off to defend the basket, your 4 player needs to head up that defender to set a single down to get the shooter open.
