FLAT is one of the ball screen concepts in the Villanova Four-Out Motion Offense.
Anytime the defense extends its pick up point, the Wildcats have an "automatic" into a FLAT ball screen.
In transition
Anytime the defense extends their pickup point this is an automatic flat ball screen. If the defense want to extend and play in a greater space, take it!
When there is a flat ball screen, th top player on the weakside gets at or below FTLE and then interchanges with the player below him
If the ball gets in the paint, drive and space rules take over
