Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Dallas Mavericks used the same "curl" structure when trying to get a lob for Shawn Marion. Coaches simply run the player they want to lob off a downscreen, then have him curl back around towards the rim - and Rick Carlisle did this at the end of a preseason game. This particular of play is called "Zipper Go Back". See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawGood set, with a lot of movements. it's a great opportunity for open shot your SG with options for lob pass 4 after back screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSecondary break from Iowa State. Starts off with flex action and ends with a side ball screen and rip screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a play used last season by the Washington Wizards under coach Randy Wittman. The Wizards would try to get an open three pointer for Bradley Beal or Martell Webster, who they start in the corner out of a Horns formation. You'll see the defense pay a lot of attention to John Wall on this play as well; it's one of the few occasions he's been utilized as a screener and this is a good example of how it can be effective for the best player on a team to be the screener - it sets up openings for others. Favorite Send to FastDrawMonty Williams uses this play to get Ryan Anderson, a stretch 4, a three point opportunity coming off an elevator screen. They fake posting Anderson on the block and then dart him up through an elevator/ off a double screen to hit the open trey. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawFence Curl Pop comes from Rick Adelman, which he has run both in Sacramento and with the Minnesota Wolves. Adelman usually calls this play out of timeouts when he sees something in the way the defense is playing screening actions. The play is designed to get a layup for a shooting guard or an open elbow jumper for a power forward. When Kevin Love runs this play for the Wolves he steps out to the three point line, making this an extremely difficult play to defend. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBilly Donovan runs this play for a stretch-4 shooter (particularly ran it for Erik Murphy this past year) to get a quick three pointer in the corner. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis was a Secondary Offense set the Washington Wizards would run if they felt they had a mismatch in the post with Nene. John Wall would push Nene, the trailer, backdoor, which indicated to the rim runner that he should raise and set a ballscreen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis 1-4 High Offense set produces an open three pointer in the corner for a good shooter off a misdirection action. There is enough spacing on the weak side so that if the play breaks down the player with the ball can react to the defense and attack the rim. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Utah Jazz ran this Elbow-UCLA action into a modified flex pindown versus the Indiana Pacers this morning during the final day of the Orlando NBA Summer League. The key to this play having your 1 man slow down enough for his defender to think to help on the screen and then shoot off the pin down, creating space. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis was a play run at one time by the Dallas Mavericks in their 2011 NBA Championship run. The plan was to get Dirk and Kidd in a ballscreen read situation where Dirk could isolate at one of two spots on the floor and have proper spacing around him. See More
