In this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play out of a 4-out alignment. The slice screen into the stagger is not original, but I think hard curling the first stagger and then running a second stagger is very interesting. It may take some time to develop, but I think it's likely the second player off the staggers can be open. In this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play out of a Princeton alignment. I think the backdoor option on the high post entry is sneaky, and could work if executed well. The baseline is cleared so the roller may be there from the ball screen, and of course the shooter coming off the pin down is a nice option. In this diagram and embedded video we look at play design for a point guard to drive the ball to an empty baseline. They can decide to drive as an isolation, or to skip the pass to the back side for a hammer set. Either way, the defense is misdirected with the fake hand off, and stretched side to side with the hammer action. This set is gold.
