Favorite Send to FastDrawOklahoma State ran this ATO to get a quick lob to the rim. This action puts x5 in a difficult situation where he has to defend a ball screen and a lob in succession. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Dallas Mavericks used the SLOB play with the score tied and 6.7 seconds left in the 2017 Orlando NBA Summer League championship game against the Detroit Pistons. The Mavericks only needed a 2 and were looking for an opportunity to attack the basket for a layup, foul, or create an open shot. 1 occupied his defender by staying in the backcourt, creating more space for 4 to attack off the handoff. 4 drove to the basket and created a shot for 5 for the game winning shot. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a wrinkle off of the 21/Pistol flex entry. This is a set play so you will need a secondary action to get into if the KU (high low) look is not there. This is a set play that flows into 21. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a disguised entry into 21. Defense is about positioning so getting any defense out of the position they are familar guarding an action out of automatically begins putting them to the test. This is only the entry into the 21 offense. If you have not seen that yet I recommend checking out my diagram of it here I will be uploading a couple wrinkles from this because I think the misdirection to isolatin for the 5 man is reallly stinking good here with everyone perimeter weakside it really gives you some freedowm to exploit here. I will upload a version of how to get any position on your floor seamlessly into the post position for this action as a set but this itself is simply the Flex entry into 21. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Pistol offense is one of my favorite offenses right now. With the different reads and options you can make out of the initial pass it is really hard to comfortable defending. Point of emphasis would be to really make sure your wings and point guard give themselves enough room to operate sideline side to not warrant and immediate trap (although I have found that is one of the better ways to defend the initial action, so plan accordingly, tweet me @DaveNedbalekUTT and we can discuss) Please share any wrinkles counters you see, or have run. I will include some decoy entries in a later post, as well as a video breakdown. Teams running this right now: -LA Clippers -Golden State Warriors -Houston Rockets See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw1- Break up to the top of the key when the ref gives 3 the ball. 3- Do not slap the ball to start. When 3 takes the ball that starts the action. Hit 4 over the top. 4- Make sure you step across your man and then up. Dont allow him to get between you and the ball. 1- Look to hit 3 in the middle of the lane 2- Cut up one step and then screen 3's man. Be on the move when the ball is in the air to 4. 3- Cut under the rim into the middle of the lane 5- Cut your man up toward the wing 5- When 3 catches it and you have jogged your man up, backdoor cut hard for the pass from 3 See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawFrom a box set. As 1 is handed the ball, 2 cuts hard to the corner. 4 steps up and receives a screen from 3 near the free throw line. 2 releases up the court. 5 sets a screen for 3. 1 passes to 3 for a weakside layup. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Warriors ran this play to start the second quarter of Game 4. x5 had to provide help on the backscreen to take away the layup. This got David West (5) wide open for a shot from the FT line. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Golden State Warriors ran this play to start the 4th quarter in Game 2 of the NBA Finals. It is a variation of the "Loop" play that they run, which Steve Kerr brought over from his time with the San Antonio Spurs. Normally 3 would curl around 5 to receive the pass up top from 1. In this play 3 curls around 5 to the FT line and 1 passes to 5 in the post. 3 & 1 then set a staggered screen for 2. 2 curls around 3's screen and cuts to the basket to receive the pass from 5. Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Golden State Warriors ran this play in the 1st quarter, shortly after Javale McGee (5) checked into the game. This play utililizes the athleticism of 5, getting him open because the defense can't provide help on the ball screen off of Steph Curry (1) or Klay Thompson (2). As Kevin Durant (4) turns the corner on the ball screen, McGee gets a running start to the rim. Kevin Love tries to provide help off of 3 but he couldn't get high enough to contest the lob. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Cleveland Cavs ran this ATO early in the second quarter of Game 2 of the NBA Finals. On the previous possession the Cavs set the screen for 2 to get a look at a three point shot. On this play, 5 slipped the screen and cut to the rim to get the lob pass from 4. See More
