New Mexico State Aggies - 25 Pop BLOB

Doug Brotherton 03/21/2019

New Mexico State almost pulled off the comeback, as they trailed by 7, with a minute left in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. WIth the ball on the baseline, and under 2 seconds left, NMSU ran a fake lob, screen-the-screener action. It resulted in a wide open three, that did not drop. The key to the set was the fake lob, which led to the shooter becoming wide open in the corner. #FastModelMadness See More

Oklahoma City Thunder - Slide Action Special SLOB

Kostas Kalogeropoulos 03/10/2019

Coach Blly Donovan ran this special SLOB play late in game to find a corner 3pt shot. Starting with a stagger screen for 3 to get the ball at the top, then 2 clears to the opposite corner and 4 clears out respectively. 5 relocates to low post area and 1 sprints towards 3, in order to fake a ball screen. 1 slips and pops (slide action) to the gap at the wing area, forcing x2 to rotate, leaving 2 player open in the corner. 5 should block x5 from rotating to the corner. Basketball Play - Tennessee State Tigers - Spread Rip Lob

Tennessee State Tigers - Spread Rip Lob

Matt Wheeler 02/26/2019

Tennessee State was down 2 late in the second half of their game against Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) and needed a basket to tie the game. They ran this wrinkle out of their spread offense to get a dunk off a lob pass. The play starts with the typical spread offense action of a dribble handoff, ball reversal and 4 cutting to the strong side corner. 1 diverts from his normal cut to the strongside elbow or block areas and sets a back screen for 5. The right side of the floor is cleared so 5 can be wide open for the lob pass from 2. Click for more Spread Offense content! See More

Basketball Play - Team USA - EOG Baseline Curl Pop BLOB

Team USA - EOG Baseline Curl Pop BLOB

Matt Wheeler 02/26/2019

After missing a shot to take the lead in the final seconds of its game against Argentina, the USA Men's World Cup Qualifying Team found themselves in an end-of-game BLOB situation. They were down 1 with one second left in the game. Head Coach Jeff Van Gundy called a timeout to draw up this play to take advantage of a common late-game defensive tactic of switching all screens. 2 curls around 3 to force the defensive switch. This got the smallest defender on the court switched onto 3. 3 then pops to the corner to receive the pass from 1. Now having the size advantage over x2, 3 was able to rise up and make a tough contested shot against the smaller defender. Free Playbook: Late Game Situations See More

Basketball Play - Toronto Raptors - SLOB "3" (Misdirection Pick and Roll)

Toronto Raptors - SLOB "3" (Misdirection Pick and Roll)

Cooper Smither 02/12/2019

Another Sideline Out of Bounds (SLOB) play Nick Nurse introduced in his first season as the Head Coach for the Toronto Raptors is one which uses the same formation as SLOB "1". Through misdirection to make the defense believe "1" is being run, the Raptors have caught defenses by surprise quite frequently before engaging in a middle ball screen after a dribble handoff (DHO). This is typically a set play used to get Kawhi Leonard a possession as a pick and roll ball handler. Free Download: Toronto Raptors Playbook See More
