Basketball Play - Double Flare to Ball Screen

Double Flare to Ball Screen

Daniel Murphy 04/29/2013

Opening play from the first game of OKC/Houston, 4/21/13, which OKC won 120-91. This play starts with misdirection, running the teams most potent scorer off of a double flare screen. The two bigs then rescreen for the best driver on the team. A shooter spaces in the weakside corner to stretch the floor. See More

Basketball Play - 41 twist

41 twist

John Leonzo 04/26/2013

Here is another set that was run by Utah State during the 2010 season. This is a great quick hitter to get a quality look at the basket before getting into your motion offense. I would reccomend this set to anyone that is looking for a quick hitter that is hard to defend. See More

The Vanderbilt Commodores had a rebuilding year with no Senior in the starting line-up. But, Head Coach Kevin Stallings did a fine job with this squad and they played some of their best basketball at the end of the season. Here is a look at an Early Offense they ran in the SEC Tournament last week against Arkansas. See More

Basketball Play - 10-11 Houston Rockets - Hand Off with High Post Entry, Pin Down and Flare

10-11 Houston Rockets - Hand Off with High Post Entry, Pin Down and Flare

Basketball HQ 03/23/2013

For this play you have to have a point guard that is a shooting threat coming off of the pin down. If your point guard is not a shooter, you can still run this play by bumping down 3, and not giving him a hand off. Practice with your 2 to properly use the flare screen, and have your 4 practice making the pass to 2 off of the flare screen. This play is from the 2010-2011 Houston Rockets season. See More
