Daniel Murphy 05/02/2013

Opening play run by the Miami Heat in their 98-86 win over the Buck's 4/23/13. If you have a guard who is good in the post, a backsreen is a great way to set it up. The Buck's switched the backscreen, but 5's defender did not guard 2 (Wade) closely enough, allowing the pass into the post. See More

Basketball Play - Knicks Handoff-Mid Ball Screen

Knicks Handoff-Mid Ball Screen

Daniel Murphy 05/04/2013

The Knicks ran this play after a time out midway through the fourth quarter of their game 2 win over the Celtics. It involves a handoff, touch pass on the run, and a ball screen. If you have a small line-up, the Knicks were using Melo at the 4 and Martin at the 5, this is a great way to spread the floor and set up a middle ball screen. This is a very quick hitting play, so the timing of the passes and spacing to complete the passes is important. See More

Daniel Murphy 05/05/2013

Houston ran this sideline out of bounds play for a layup with 1.9 seconds left in the second quarter of their 105-102 game 2 loss to the Thunder 4/24/13. This play involves a flare screen, then a stagger. The play worked beautifully and if you save this for a special situation could win you a game. Timing is crucial, as Delfino was on the move as Harden was recieving the flare screen. Also make sure 5 turns to rescreen for the stagger. See More

The Nets ran this with under 10 seconds left to go in their game 3 loss to the Bulls. Johnson 2 was wide open, but held off on shooting the three to give the ball to Williams who came off a down screen and penetrated. Chicago did not want to foul, so the Nets were able to get the basket, score, foul, and come down and attempt a game tying 3 pointer. See More
