About This Play/Drill

This is a good quick hitter set to use against a match-up 2-3 zone.  Baylor was able to execute and get a 2 versus Syracuse during the 2019 NCAA Tournament.

  • From a 3 out-2 in formation, the low post players attempt to position behind the back line of the defense. The ball is swung to one side.

  • The ball side low post player flashes to an open spot near the elbow, the opposite side wing player slides to the weak corner.

  • The ball is dribble to the top of the key pulling the defender to the top. and rotated across the top. The high post player should be drawing the middle defender.

  • As the ball is swung to the opposite slot, the low post big screens for the high post big to slice through the lane and catch.
