John Calipari has proven too be a master at running sets for his players to get the best shots in the best positions on the floor.
This easy to run Transition Set utilizes the elbow screen to free up the trailing post for an open ball side cut and possible quick pass.
When the quick pass isn't there, on ball reversal, the Wildcats revert back to their DDM Offense with the 3 Side Middle Penetration looking to Rack It!
1 (And. Harrison - 5) passes to 3 (Young - 1) lifting out of the corner and moves to the elbow, turns and sets a screen for the trailing post 4 (Randle - 30) to cut into the ball side post for a possible pass
After setting the screen, 1 (And. Harrison - 5) pops out
3 (Young - 1) reverses the ball to 1 (And. Harrison - 5) who passes to 2 (Aar. Harrison - 2) coming off a pin down screen from 5 (Cauley - Stein - 15)
3 (Young - 1) cuts baseline to the opposite corner looking for a possible quick pass and open 3 pt shot
4 (Randle - 30) steps out on the baseline to the short corner creating space
On the pass to 2 (Aar. Harrison - 2) he takes the ball at the rack to the open side
