  • False Motion - Player 1 will ultimately receive the ball screen

From the break, 1 drives the ball toward the middle the reverses to the trailing 4

3 begins to lift from the corner

  • After 1 reverses, he/she cuts toward the ball side wing

4 reverses to 3 on the rise then cuts to the opposite post area

  • 3 dribble centers and hits 2 on the rise

    5 lifts to high post

  • 2 passes to 1, 3 slides to corner

  • Scoring Action

5 sets the inside ball screen on the top guard who is guarding 1 (X1 as shown).

2 spaces to high wing to "hold the sideline"

1 can split the top guard or take the gap shot on the other side of the ball screen

  • Should 1 penetrate the zone and the forward (X3) get too high, 3 can cut along the baseline for a lob

  • Should X2 seal the drive, the kick is available for Player 2, Player 2 may shoot, drive the close out, feed the post or make the "one more" pass to Player 3

4 should "crack in" on X5

The offense now has a 2v1 advantage versus X3

  • Flare Option

Player 4 may also set a flare screen on the top guard to insure Player 2 has a pocket of space.

2 may shoot, drive the close out or make the "one more" pass to the corner
