About This Play/Drill

Here is a ball screen drill that I use often to work on losing the on ball defender and finishing the play while pressured.

  • Basketball Play - Ball Screen 1v1

x1 and 1 are playing live 1 on 1, but no one can score until a ball screen is set. 1 must begin by putting 1 into the screen. If 1 can refuse the screen, he is able to score with a dribble jumper or attack the rim. If 1 is not able to refuse the screen, he must take a dribble jumper. It becomes imperative due to the rules that 1 is able to lose x1 either by refusing the screen or burying x1 into the screen.
