About This Play/Drill

The Evansville Purple Aces play in the one of the most competitive Conferences in America the Missouri Valley Conference.

Marty Simmons is the true greats in program history as a Purple Aces player and he now enters his 9th season at the helm of the program.  In 2015, Simmons coached the Aces to a record of 24-12 and the CIT Championship.

This Box Set has a little bit of everything in it and can be used to get a post-up for a strong 3 man, free up a shooter off the double stagger action, and also be used to get a FT line jumper or Hi / Lo.

  • Evansville Box Set vs M2M

     

    3 Balentine (#31) comes off the screen from 4 Wing (#12) and catches the entry pass from 1 Brown (#3)

     

    2 Simmons (#50) empties out to the ball side corner

     

    5 Mockevicius (#55) sets a flare screen for 1 Brown (#3) who cuts over the top looking for a possible pass and quick strike lay-up

     

    5 Mockevicius (#55) pops to replace at the TOK after the screen

  • Evansville Box Set vs M2M

     

    3 Balentine (#31) reverses the ball to 5 Mockevicius (#55) at the TOK

     

    1 Brown (#3) pops out to the wing after his cut and receives the pass from 5 Mockevicius (#55)

     

    4 Wing (#12) steps up to set a back screen on 3 Balentine's (#31) defender as he shuffle cuts to the basket looking to score or post-up

  • Evansville Box Set vs M2M

     

    1 Brown (#3) can hit 3 Balentine (#31) in the post or look to hit 2 Simmons (#50) coming off the double stagger screen set by 4 Wing (#12) & 5 Mockevicius (#55) at the TOK for the 3 pt shot
